Venezuela congratulates Nicaragua on the Day of National Dignity

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, reported through his Telegram channel about the official congratulations to the People and Government of Nicaragua on the occasion of the Day of National Dignity.

Gil said that, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela extends its sincerest congratulations to President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo on this historic date for Nicaragua.

He also highlighted the historic importance of this celebration, which commemorates the feat of General Augusto C. Sandino in his fight against US imperialist intervention.

In this regard, the foreign minister indicated that this date is a symbol of the indomitable resistance of the Nicaraguan people in the defense of their dignity.

“Today, Nicaragua is raising high the flags of self-determination, pride and national sovereignty,” said Gil, while reaffirming Venezuela's support for the struggle for the sovereignty of Latin American peoples.
