The Venezuelan women's futsal team started its participation in the Conmebol U-20 South American Championship on the right foot, winning 2-1 against Bolivia in the Bolivarian Dome of Barquisimeto, Lara state.

Karlys Durán was the figure of the match when he scored both Vinotinto goals. The player opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the first half, with a subtle definition that surpassed the departure of the Bolivian goalkeeper.

Bolivia managed to equalize three minutes later, when Gabriela Suyo tried a shot from outside the box that was deflected by a Venezuelan defender and ended up displacing the Venezuelan goalkeeper.

With the tie, both teams staged a close duel with opportunities in both areas.

With four minutes left until the end, Durán appeared again to take advantage of a rebound from the Bolivian goalkeeper and define left-handed the goal that secured the three points for Venezuela.

With this result, Vinotinto has its first three points in Group A, where it shares an area with Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador and Paraguay. In the other sector, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Uruguay participate.

In the other results of the day, Ecuador defeated Paraguay 1-0 in Group A, while Colombia beat Chile 3-2 and Uruguay thrashed Peru 7-1, both matches corresponding to Group B.
