Venezuela enhances its film presence at the Chennai World Cinema Festival

This year Venezuela participated as an honored country in this year's edition of the “Chennai World Cinema Festival” in India, at which the feature films, “An Inner Flash”, by Luis and Andrés Rodríguez; “Julia has a Sugar”, by José Antonio Varela, and “Tango Bar”, by Gisbelis Coronado, and the short film “All For Her”, by Gerardo Gouverneur, were presented.
The festival, which is celebrating its second edition, includes the participation of
films from Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, France, Peru, Egypt,
Kazakstan, the United Kingdom, Iran, Argentina, Bangladesh, Denmark, the United States,
Cyprus, Sri Lanka, India and Venezuela.

Rodríguez, was present at the opening event, who thanked the
festival's organization and its director Sentil Kumarán for ensuring the participation of national
cinematography in this prestigious and auspicious event, which further strengthens and strengthens cultural ties between India
and Venezuela.
He also highlighted the joint work of the institutions responsible for the cultural
policies of the film sector in the country, especially the
production company Fundación Villa del Cine.
In the same way, the diplomat received recognition from the festival
organization and held a meeting with the former director of the “Chennai
International Films Festival” and consultant for festivals in South India, E ma Nadar
Thangaraj, who expressed the desire to organize a
Venezuelan film festival in three cities, Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai, for which meetings will be held for planning.
