Venezuela evaluates pharmaceutical alliance with Basque university expert

The Minister of Popular Power for Health, Carlos Alvarado, held a working meeting with the doctor of Pharmacy and researcher at the University of the Basque Country, Gorka Orive Arroyo, to evaluate strategic alliances in the field of pharmacology and promote applied research projects within the national territory.
During the meeting, the authorities delved into the design of mechanisms aimed at the exchange of scientific knowledge, specialized academic training and technology transfer.
These actions are aimed at optimizing the operational and industrial capacity of the National Public Health System (SPNS) in the face of current health requirements.
The working group included the technical participation of the Deputy Minister of Resources, Technology and Regulation, Gerardo Briceño, and the Deputy Minister of Collective Health Networks, Gregorio Sánchez, who provided the operational vision on the regulation, distribution of supplies and the strengthening of primary care networks in the country.
With this international approach, the healthcare portfolio confirms its policy of incorporating cutting-edge biomedical technology and innovation. The strategy seeks to consolidate pharmacological sovereignty and ensure timely access to high-level medicines for the entire Venezuelan population.
