Venezuela extends condolences for the death of former Nigerian president

The Deputy Minister for Africa of the People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yuri Pimentel, signed this Wednesday the Book of Condolences for the death of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Caracas.

Through his Telegram channel, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, published in recent days the “deepest condolences to his family, to the dear Nigerian people and to his Honorable Government at this time of pain”, stressing that Buhari in life was a great friend of Venezuela and defender of the bonds of brotherhood between our peoples.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Pimentel delivered a letter on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and the Venezuelan people, to Agena Patience Mngusughun, Chief Business Officer in Caracas.

Former President Buhari was a leader committed to Africa and the Global South, leaving a legacy of dignity and cooperation. As well as its firm commitment to the fight against corruption and the defense of the sovereignty of African nations.
