Venezuela is the absolute leader of the Central American Karate Championship in Honduras

The Venezuelan delegation won the title in the Central American Karate Championship held in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, after winning 36 gold medals.

Nicaragua ranked second with 15 gold medals. While the third went to El Salvador, who won 12 gold.

The Venezuelan athletes won a total of 87 medals divided into 36 gold, 24 silver and 27 bronze medals, thus becoming the delegation that has won the most gold medals in the history of a Central American Championship.

The Venezuelan Isabella López led the top of the athletes with the most gold medals after adding 3, her compatriots Amelia Mendoza, Claudymar Garcés and Daniela García ranked fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively. While Luis Ruz and Nathasha Ramirez ranked ninth and tenth, all with 2 gold medals.

The first place in men's and women's kata also went to Venezuela, thanks to their representatives Miguel Galindo and Daniela García, respectively.
