Venezuela joined the Ibero-American Network for Artistic and Cultural Education

In the framework of the closing of the Ibero-American Congress “Arts for Peace” 2026, held in Bogotá, Venezuela, and the participating delegations formalized their adherence to the Ibero-American Network for Artistic and Cultural Education (REDARTES).
Esta initiative, promoted by the Government of Colombia, the country that will assume the presidency of the network, accompanied by Portugal in the vice-presidency, was created with the purpose of strengthening cultural cooperation in the region and establishing a road map for the period 2026-2028.
During the meeting, the authorities agreed on the need to consolidate a culture for peace. In addition, among the agreements signed by the nations that join REDARTES, the following stand out:
- Strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation to position artistic and cultural education as an essential component of sustainable development.
- Promote REDARTES as a permanent regional platform for the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
- Promote the generation of specialized studies and research in the cultural field.
- Organize regular meetings between authorities, artists, experts and managers of the sector.
- Encourage more democratic, inclusive and participatory working models.
Del May 13-15, Venezuela participated in the Ibero-American Congress Arts for Peace, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC), under the management of Minister Raúl Cazal.
La national delegation shared its models of artistic training both in official activities and in bilateral meetings, which confirms its desire to establish alliances for the cultural development of Ibero-American peoples.
