Through an official statement, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela joined the commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

The letter published by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, on his Telegram channel reads:

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with the firm conviction of a world that believes in justice, dignity and unrestricted respect for human rights, joins the commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

Venezuela reaffirms its unwavering support for the Just Cause of Palestine, which, for almost 77 years, has endured, with extraordinary courage, the occupation, oppression and atrocities committed by the Nazi regime of Netanyahu, which flagrantly violates International Law and the fundamental principles of the United Nations, while bombs and missiles continue to fall on girls, boys, women and men in Gaza, the West Bank and all of Palestine.

The Netanyahu regime has crossed all the borders and red lines of international law, especially the Charter of the United Nations, and the bureaucratic organs of justice that we know have not been able to stop it.

We must go further; global condemnation must give way to justice and prevent the UN from disappearing together with the Palestinian people.

The Government of Venezuela urges the United Nations Security Council to enforce international law, the resolutions adopted and the rules that guarantee peaceful coexistence among peoples. In
turn, it demands an end to the illegal occupation and the full restoration of the rights of the Palestinian people, as is their inalienable right to establish themselves as a free, sovereign and independent State, with the 1967 borders and
East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela once again demands that the mandate of the UN General Assembly be fulfilled and that Palestine be admitted as a full member of that organization. The UN cannot continue to be complicit, by omission, in the exclusion of a people whose legitimacy as a nation is unquestionable.

Recognizing Palestine is not a favor; it is a historic debt and an act of justice that must not continue to be delayed.

This International Day of Solidarity with Palestine cannot be a symbolic commemoration. It must be a turning point for the international community to assume, with determination and courage, the commitment to the Palestinian people to put an end to and end decades of impunity.

Long live free Palestine!
Long live the resistance of the peoples!
