This Friday, from the immediate vicinity of the Teresa Carreño Theater, the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the country has 12 consecutive quarters of economic growth.
“Growth in the first quarter of 2024 projected by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the International Monetary Fund that Venezuela will grow this year, 4% and in the first quarter our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth figure is 7% and we know that it will be even much higher.”
In this regard, the vice-president recalled that the first quarter of economists is seasonal “in Western countries it is seasonal, there is a commercial and economic calm, because we come from Christmas in the month of December”.
He added that the IMF and ECLAC “place us at the forefront of regional growth, and we are days away from saying that we have 12 consecutive quarters of growth,” Rodríguez stressed.
He also thanked “the workers of Venezuela, who with their own efforts have overcome this number of shortages that hit Venezuela in 2015.”
