Venezuela participates in the 36th International Book Fair of Iran

For the third year, Venezuela is participating in the 36th International Book Fair in Tehran, in the Islamic Republic of Iran, an event of great relevance for cultural and literary exchange worldwide.
The fair takes place in the Grand Mosque of the Iranian capital until May 17 and has as its motto “Let's read for Iran”, with Iraq as the guest country.
The Popular Power for Culture (MPPC) and its embassy in Iran, Venezuela exhibits more than 90 publications from public, private and independent publishers, and among the works presented, there are titles such as The Dog and the Frog, Monte Avila and the Ayacucho Library, attached to the aforementioned office, as well as productions by the Hugo Chávez Frías Institute of Higher Studies and Vadell Hermanos Editores.
Venezuela's participation in the Tehran International Book Fair joins a series of events in which the country has strengthened its presence in the international publishing world.
For the first time at the 39th International Book Fair in Tunisia and, for the second time, at the 56th International Book Fair in Cairo, in Egypt, as part of its growing cultural and diplomatic relationship with Arab nations.
Venezuela played a prominent role at the 37th Bogota International Book Fair (Filbo), in Colombia, which ends on May 11, and at the 33rd International Book Fair in Havana, Cuba, where it presented a wide range of its literary production and organized more than 30 activities with writers and experts.
