Venezuela participates in the First Day of the International Doctoral School for Space Applications (SPACERAISE), at the headquarters of the Gran Sasso Science Institute, located in the city of L'Aquila in Italy, as part of the continuing education strategy promoted by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro and in coordination with diplomatic missions in different countries of the world.
On this occasion, the engineer and researcher of the Bolivarian Agency for Space Activities (ABAE), Rogelio Morales, was selected for the Robotics Program for Space Applications, due to his academic and professional experience to be part of the group of 150 researchers from 32 countries.
In this regard, the counselor of the Venezuelan Embassy in Italy, Edgar Ernesto González, said that, with the participation of the Venezuelan expert, the country's scientists have the opportunity to share experiences and good practices in aeronautics and robotics.
He also assured that the commitment of researcher Morales, who is also a university professor, will guarantee the multiplier transfer of knowledge and the socialization of the experience of the latest advances in each of the topics addressed at this event.
The Robotics for Space Applications Program of the International Doctoral School for Space Applications (SPACERAISE) includes a high technological and scientific content, aimed at professionals in the field of space software engineering.
