The delegation is accompanied by Ambassador Marilyn Di Luca Santaella, permanent representative to the UN in Rome. Their participation reinforces the regional coordination agenda of the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC), whose Pro Tempore Presidency is currently held by Venezuela.

Innovation and ancient knowledge

During the meeting, Venezuela presents its advances and public policies distributed in the following strategic axes: biodiversity, culture and ancestral foods; sustainable agri-food systems and food innovation; community participation and the role of rural women and fishermen, and South-South Cooperation and strategies for nutritional strengthening.

On Monday, as part of the “Nutrition Evidence and Innovation for Shaping Agrifood Systems Transformation” block, the Venezuelan technical team participates in international cooperation tables. In addition, an ancient Amazonian culinary demonstration will be presented to highlight the nutritional and cultural value of the country's territorial knowledge.

With this participation, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, Venezuela ratifies its commitment to Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, promoting multilateralism, solidarity cooperation and the construction of more sustainable, inclusive and resilient food systems for the peoples of the world.
