Venezuela reaffirms its willingness to strengthen cooperation with the Caribbean

In the voice of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia González, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reiterated its intention to strengthen economic and commercial cooperation and Caribbean brotherhood.
In this regard, the foreign minister reported that, within the framework of the 41st Session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), he held “important bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of Saint Lucia, Alva Baptiste; Haiti, Raina Forbin; and Barbados, Christopher Sinckler”.
“We also had a productive meeting with the Permanent Secretary of SELA (Latin American and Caribbean Economic System), Lesly David, and with the Secretary General of CARICOM, Carla Barnett, with whom we addressed our common agenda for sustainable development,” added the diplomat, through a post on his social networks.
On behalf of President Delcy Rodríguez, Minister Plasencia González reiterated at the multilateral event, which takes place in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, Venezuela's willingness to strengthen, through integration and dialogue, relations with Latin America and the Caribbean.
