The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil released a statement issued on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirming the recognition of the Government of the People's Republic of China
as the only legitimate government that represents China.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its recognition of the Government of the People's Republic of China as the only legitimate government that represents China, in accordance with the principle of One China and the relevant resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly.

In addition, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela promotes dialogue, understanding and respect for international law and bilateral mechanisms as a way for the peaceful resolution of disputes and disputes.
