Venezuela received a new shipment of more than 300 tons of humanitarian aid from Trinidad and Tobago

A new shipment containing more than 300 tons of basic supplies arrived in Venezuela from Trinidad and Tobago as part of the international aid received after the double earthquake that occurred last June 24.

The cargo that arrived by boat Galleons Passage was received at the port of the state of La Guaira, by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Caribbean, Raúl Li Causi, who was accompanied by the chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago accredited in Venezuela, Dayne-Marc Chin Slick.

Diplomatic authorities confirmed the arrival of more than five thousand plastic drinking water bottles, as well as 700 pallets containing gloves and medical gowns, canned food, mats, diapers for children and adults, cleaning material and personal hygiene items, among other essential supplies.

The shipment was managed by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and private sector companies.

“Thank you for this moment of solidarity, this show of brotherhood in these difficult circumstances, where the support that our Venezuelan people have had,” said Deputy Minister Li Causi.
