Venezuela rejects attack against Colombian senator Miguel Uribe Turbay

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed its repudiation of the attack against Colombian senator Miguel Uribe Turbay, which occurred last June 7 in Bogotá.
The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, released the official statement through his Telegram channel, where the Government expresses its rejection of any violent action that jeopardizes the political and social stability of Colombia.
The document also emphasizes Venezuela's confidence in the conduct of an exhaustive investigation by Colombian authorities and expresses solidarity with Senator Uribe Turbay, his family and the People of Colombia.

The Government of Venezuela strongly condemns the attack against Colombian senator Miguel Uribe Turbay, which occurred on June 7 in Bogotá. We reject any act of violence that seeks to affect the political and social stability of Colombia.
We trust that the Colombian authorities will carry out a thorough and transparent investigation into this regrettable event.
We express our solidarity with Senator Uribe Turbay, his family and the Colombian people.
