A delegation of nine (8) athletes will represent Venezuela in the 2026 Roger Boyce Barbados World Cup of Bodybuilding and Fitness, to be held from May 14 to 18 on the Caribbean island.
The Venezuelan representation will participate in amateur and professional categories, said the president of the Venezuelan Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, Adolfo Martínez from Simón Bolívar International Airport, in La Guaira, moments before the athletes left for the Caribbean island.
Martínez expressed his confidence in the talent and discipline of each of the athletes who will proudly carry the Venezuelan flag. “We are sure that, with the quality we have with athletes so dedicated to our sports discipline, we are going to make a good representation of our country,” he said.
The delegation is made up of Ronney Boutto Chirino, Bodybuilding category; Wendy Granado, Body Fitness category; Vanessa Azuaje, Hailen Longa and Orianny Paz, in the Wellness category; José Manuel Mazaira, Men's Physique category; Esmeralda Yaniche and Athenas López, in the Bikini category.
“We hope that when we return we will deliver all those triumphs and those medals that we are sure we are going to get for Venezuela,” added the president of the Federation.
