The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed its solidarity with the People of Chile on Monday in the face of the devastating fires that have left around 19 dead, more than 1,500 people affected and more than 25,000 hectares destroyed.

In a statement, released by Foreign Minister Yván Gil on his social networks, the Bolivarian Government highlighted the importance of cooperation “to face adversities derived from climate phenomena affecting our region.”

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its solidarity with the brother People and Government of the Republic of Chile in the face of the serious emergency caused by forest fires affecting various regions of the center and south of that country.

The magnitude of these fires shows a situation of calamity that calls for cooperation and regional unity. Faithful to its historic tradition of solidarity and within the framework of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its ties of brotherhood with the people of Chile, convinced that the unity of Our America is fundamental to face the adversities derived from the climatic phenomena affecting our region.
