The Deputy Minister for Europe of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Franklin Ramírez, held a meeting with the Belarusian ambassador to Venezuela, Andrei Leonidovich, in which they discussed the bilateral cooperation agenda between the two nations.

Ramírez, in his account on the social network X, stated that “we held a fruitful meeting with the Ambassador of Belarus in Venezuela, @ A_L_Molchan, in which we analyzed the ties of brotherhood and defined an extraordinary work agenda for the strengthening of our relations in 2024".

Since the establishment of their diplomatic relations on February 4, 1997, Venezuela and Belarus have respected the principles of mutual respect, mutual benefit and common development, deepening political trust and cooperation, maintaining a tendency towards the positive development of bilateral relations.

During the day, Deputy Minister Ramírez also held a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, with whom he ratified the ties of brotherhood and bilateral cooperation between the two countries, which share similar views on the promotion of a multipolar world and of non-interference in the internal affairs of nations.

In that regard, he stated that "Russia and Venezuela have a brotherhood and a very deep and productive relationship. Today in a meeting with @ EmbSergio we reaffirmed this, evaluating our cooperation agenda for 2024. We continue to secure the 7 transformations for our future.”

Russia and Venezuela have 78 years of diplomatic relations and with the arrival of the Bolivarian Government in 1999, the relationship was promoted to the level of strategic partners, going beyond traditional alliances.
