Venezuela welcomes the UN's declaration of December 4 as the Day against Sanctions and Blockades

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, after his participation on the United Nations platform to denounce imperialist aggression against more than 30 nations, welcomed the fact that this multilateral body adopted a day to denounce this type of coercive and criminal measures against Peoples.

“Great day for Venezuela! Today, by an overwhelming majority, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming December 4 as the “International Day against Unilateral Coercive Measures,” Foreign Minister Gil wrote.

He added in his account on the social network Telegram that “this proposal for a resolution, presented by Venezuela, with the support, among others, of the Member States of the “Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations”.

“With this adoption, the debate on the negative impact of unilateral coercive measures, which constitute a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations and of the fundamental principles of international law, is placed on the international agenda,” he said.
