The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will begin a process of collecting signatures, this Wednesday, March 19, in defense of migrants who are detained in El Salvador.
The announcement was made by the Chief Appointed for Peace Dialogues for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, who explained that the signatures will be used to strengthen the national position before international organizations, courts and courts of all the countries with which we “communicate”.
During a press conference, Rodríguez emphasized that the Bolivarian Government will not rest until Venezuelan children kidnapped in El Salvador and abused in the United States of America are returned to Venezuela.
In that regard, he called on all Venezuelans, regardless of their creed, gender, political position, opinion, whether opposition or Chavista, to participate and sign, “because first of all we are Venezuelans and our migrant brothers need our support,” he said.
Rodríguez highlighted that the collection of signatures will take place in all Bolivar Squares in the country, under the Venezuela Dignity Always campaign.
He also informed that they will propose that the Bolivarian Government, led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, issue a request that no Venezuelan travel to the United States, because it is not a safe country at the present time, “there is no rule of law” when it comes to the elementary human rights of our migrants.
“We will establish all possible mechanisms and we will send all the planes that need to be sent to bring us Venezuelans, to protect them in their land, in their homeland, to take them to their families. It's not worth being in a place where human beings are treated like animals or worse than animals, it's not worth taking revenge,” he added.
