The Venezuelan baseball team will face their counterpart from Nicaragua this Monday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m., at LoanDepot Park in Miami, for the third day of the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

The Venezuelan team will face their third match, to which they are undefeated and if they are victorious they would ensure their mathematical classification to the quarterfinal round.

The ninth led by Omar López will start with right-hander Yoendrys Gómez, a member of the New York Yankees organization.

Venezuela comes from defeating the Netherlands and Israel together.

The Venezuelan Baseball Team leads group D followed by the Dominican Republic, Israel, the Netherlands and Nicaragua.
