Venezuela will promote the martial art Vovinam

The Minister of People's Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, met with Vietnam's ambassador to the country, Vu Trung My, in order to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation in sports to expand the practice of Vietnamese martial art, called Vovinam.

The meeting was also accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Sports Massification, Juan Carlos Amarante, with whom the ambassador exchanged the sporting experience of the Asian nation.

In this regard, the diplomat proposed the promotion of Vovinam in the country with the invitation of coaches and athletes, who, in turn, will receive training and training in various areas. In addition, Minister Cardillo devised a festival where combat sports are exhibited and which serves to expand disciplines in the national territory.

Vovinam is a martial art born in Vietnam that is currently practiced in more than 40 countries on five continents. The sport is governed by the World Federation of Vovinam Vietvodao (WVVF) based in Vietnam and by the Council of Teachers chaired by Grand Master Nguyen Van Chieu, after the death of Master Patriarch Le Sang.
