Venezuelan ambassador to FAO met with her Bolivian counterpart

The permanent representative of Venezuela to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Ambassador Marilyn Di Luca, held a meeting with her Bolivian counterpart, Sonia Brito, in which information was shared about the presidential elections of July 28 and congratulated the re-elected president, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

Di Luca explained that the meeting served to address issues related to the elections held in the country last Sunday, as well as to reiterate the congratulations of the Bolivian people to the Venezuelan Head of State for his electoral victory.

“We appreciate your words of support for the re-election of Nicolás Maduro as our President and his brotherhood with the Venezuelan people, ” said the ambassador.

Other meetings held this week by Di Luca were with the alternate director of the multilateral agency, Maurizio Martina; the senior coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Office of the Director General of FAO, Imelda Smolcic, and the Deputy Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP), Carl Skau.
