Venezuelan Ambassador to Mexico met with China's chargé d'affaires

This Sunday, with the objective of strengthening ties of brotherhood and binational cooperation, the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Mexico, Stella Lugo, held a meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of the People's Republic of China, Minister Zhu Jian.
Both diplomats expressed their willingness to strengthen, from this space, bilateral relations and strategic partnership between countries, details a press release from the embassy.
Ambassador Lugo thanked Minister Jian for visiting the headquarters of the Venezuelan Diplomatic Mission in Mexico City and highlighted the relationship of friendship and reciprocal cooperation between nations, based on the values and principles of self-determination and sovereignty
In this regard, the representative of China greeted the ambassador and stressed the importance of advancing bilateral agreements depending on the development of both nations and the countries of the Global South.
He also stated that the China-CELAC Forum, which will take place starting on May 13, is of great importance for the region and explained that Venezuela plays a fundamental role in strengthening the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.
