Venezuelan and Algerian foreign ministers confirm their will to strengthen joint cooperation

With regard to their coincidence at the XIX Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (MNOAL), which takes place in Kampala, Republic of Uganda, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held a meeting this Saturday with his counterpart from the Democratic and People's Republic of Algeria, in which they confirmed the political will of their governments to strengthen cooperation in areas of common interest.
During the meeting, both diplomats also reiterated the willingness of their States to contribute to the formation of a new world, in which the right to self-determination of peoples and to exercise their sovereignty are fundamental pillars. They also reviewed the cooperation agreements signed for the benefit of their peoples, in the political, cultural, energy, commercial, scientific, communication, legal, transport, educational and electoral areas, among others.
Bilateral relations between these nations date back to 1971, leading to a Fourth Joint Intergovernmental Commission held in Caracas.
