Authorities from Venezuela and Belarus held a working meeting to review the framework of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism.
The negotiating table was attended by the Belarusian ambassador to the country, Dmitri Derevinski, and the sectoral vice-president of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez. In addition, the Minister of People's Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, took part in the follow-up day.
Diplomatic exchange is part of the policies of international cooperation and peace diplomacy promoted by the national Executive. During the session, the authorities evaluated joint projects to boost the flow of visitors and strengthen cultural exchange, according to national media.
Mutual diplomatic ties formally began on February 4, 1997 with the signing of the first institutional agreements. These political agreements achieved the status of an integral strategic alliance during the development of current government management.
