Venezuelan and Cuban authorities review cooperation agenda in strategic sectors

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, reported that Venezuela and Cuba continue to strengthen their cooperation in strategic sectors, after holding a meeting with the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Jorge Mayo Fernández.

He noted that the meeting made it possible to review the mechanisms of joint work between the two nations.

“We received a cordial visit from the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Jorge Mayo Fernández, always strengthening the special and historic relations that exist between the two nations,” Meléndez said.

He added that the peoples of Cuba and Venezuela maintain a consolidated brotherhood and active cooperation in health, sports and education, among other areas.

The mayor indicated that Caracas will continue to promote spaces for institutional coordination with the authorities with the bilateral agenda developed by both governments.
