The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Félix Plasencia González, held a telephone call this Friday with his counterpart from Serbia, Marko Djuric, to reaffirm the mutual commitment to strengthening the historic friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

Through his social networks, the Venezuelan diplomat thanked the Serbian Foreign Minister for his solidarity with his country after the double earthquake that occurred last June 24.

In addition, Plasencia highlighted Djuric's invitation “to participate in a national capacity in Expo Belgrade 2027, an ideal space to show the culture of our people to the world”.

Venezuela and Serbia established diplomatic relations on April 13, 1882; they are 144 years of a relationship characterized by solid cooperation in the economic, political and cultural spheres.
