Venezuelan and Vietnamese foreign ministers reaffirm bilateral cooperation in key areas

The Minister of People's
Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, Yván Gil, held a telephone conversation this Friday with his
counterpart from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Le Hoai Trung, to confirm
the joint commitment to strengthening relations of cooperation and brotherhood.
Through his Telegram channel
, Gil explained that, during the contact, he expressed to the
Vietnamese Foreign Minister the gratitude of the Bolivarian Government “for its firm stance in
defense of the sovereignty of Venezuela and for respect for the principles that
govern international law, as enshrined in the Charter of the UN (United Nations Organization
)”.
In addition, the
Venezuelan diplomat conveyed to his Asian
counterpart congratulations from the Bolivarian Government “for the successful development of the XIV Congress of the Communist
Party of Vietnam, which has culminated in a significant achievement for its people.”
Finally,
he said, they addressed “the national and international reality, reaffirming the
values that unite us and stressing the importance of continuing to strengthen
our bilateral relations and cooperation in key areas that benefit both peoples.”
