Venezuelan Basketball Federation presents schedule of sports events

The Venezuelan Basketball Federation presented its calendar for the current year 2026, which combines grassroots development, national competitions, participation in international tournaments and key commitments towards the FIBA 2027 World Cup.

Starting in February, the minor categories will play a leading role in the Junior Super League, which opened the national calendar with its local phase on Monday, followed by the start of the U21 Development League on Sunday 8th, while the national team will take on a bigger challenge on the 27th in the qualifiers for which it will have a duel against Brazil.

The federation details through a press release that in the month of March it maintains a second qualifying date for the 2027 world cup in which it will face Chile on Monday 2nd; at the same time, the country's tables will be lit up starting on Saturday 7th with the men's Professional Basketball Super League and on Sunday 8th the women's table.

In April, from 20 to 25, young people from the under-15 category will face each other in the men's and women's National Championships, just as 3×3 under-19 basketball will seek to climb the podium in the South American Youth Games from 23 to 25
