With the purpose of strengthening the links of cooperation and promoting the building of a global order of peace, a representative of Venezuela participated in the II International Inter-Party Conference “State Sovereignty and the Principles of International Relations in a Context of Multipolarity and Diversity in the 21st Century”, held in the city of Brest, Republic of Belarus.

The meeting, organized by the political organization Belaya Rus, brought together representatives of nations from Eurasia, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

The Venezuelan representation was headed by the deputy to the National Assembly, William Fariñas; accompanied by the first Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports and president of Fundayacucho, Jessica Bello Barreto, and the delegate Eleine Vera Rojas.

As a prelude to the plenary sessions, the authorities placed a wreath in the Heroic Fortress of Brest, before the Eternal Flame in tribute to the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War.

During the development of the forum, Deputy Fariñas praised the historical resilience of the Belarusian people and drew a parallel with the national conjuncture of defending self-determination.

In this context, he made visible the reality of Venezuela after the unjustified military aggression against territorial sovereignty on January 3, the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady Cilia Flores, highlighting the policies undertaken since then under the leadership of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, to guarantee peace and institutional stability.

The day concluded with the ratification of Venezuela's commitment to building a multipolar international order, based on geopolitical balance, respect for the self-determination of peoples and solidarity between nations.
