Venezuelan delegation participates in World Freediving Championships in Serbia

The Venezuelan Underwater Activities delegation participates in the World Freediving Pool Championship, which will be held from June 9 to 15, 2026 in Novi Sad, Serbia.
The swimming pools of the Futog Sport Center host the tests in the Senior, Junior and Master categories, in the only annual world event aimed at validating the freediving speed modality and scoring points for the global ranking.
The Venezuelan team is made up of Samanta Díaz, who ranked sixth in the 8×50, eighth in the 4×50 and eleventh in the 4×50 in the Greece 2025 World Championship. She is joined by Ashley Colmenares and Christopher Chacón.
The competitive calendar of the Venezuelan representation includes participation in the 100 meters speed in the women's and men's categories, the dynamic with monofins (DYN), as well as the 4×50, where Díaz will try to improve the position obtained in the last world championship.
