Venezuelan delegation shines at the 2025 Pan American Water Sports Championship

The Ministry of Popular Power for Sports reported that the Venezuelan swimming delegation won six medals on its fourth day of the day at the 2025 Pan American Water Sports Championship, which is being held in the city of Medellín, Colombia.
Manuel Díaz won the gold medal in the 50-meter butterfly with a time of 25.00; in the same way, he contributed to winning the silver medal in the mixed relay event 4×100 with Francisco Montaño, Yngrid Arlas and Fiorella Grossale, who completed a time of 3.42.30.
In the 100-meter backstroke, the 16-year-old Mirandina Mónica Leydar won the silver medal when she stopped the clock at 1.05.60, and with the contribution of Dennis Pérez, César Paredes and Anna Hernández she won the second silver medal in the mixed relay 4×100 with 3,43.88.
Miranda's Nathalie Medina also joined the medal table with a silver medal for the 400 meters freestyle, after clocking 4,32.80. For his part, César Paredes from Caracas won the bronze medal in the 100 backstroke with a record of 58.77. In the 200-meter chest, Valeska Betancourt and Javier Colmenares ranked fourth in their categories, the same position as Raúl Briceño in the 400 freestyle.
