Venezuelan delegation won six medals on the first day of the Kenpo World Cup

The Venezuelan delegation participating in the Kenpo World Cup held in the city of Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, won six medals on the first day: one gold, one silver and four bronze medals, from the Creoles Genesis Castro, Geisy Torrealba, Deuvis Tovar and José Piña.

The first conquest of Venezuelans came from the hand of sensei Castro, who hung around her neck the gold medal in the form of figures with weapons (22-37 years old) and Torrealba the silver medal in the same modality but in the minor category of 18-21 years old. Both won the silver medal in a personal defense duo.

Deuvis Tovar won two bronze medals in weapon forms and personal defense. This first day ended with a bronze medal in personal defense from the sensei from Larense, José Piña.

In the coming days, the athletes will be in action in the combat category. Castro will intervene in the -50 kg; Torrealba will do the same in +50kg combat; while Piña will battle +50 kg and Tovar in +60 kg.
