The Venezuelan Underwater Activities delegation takes action at the World Freediving Pool Championship that takes place from June 9 to 15, 2026 in Novi Sad, Serbia.
The tests take place in the pools of the Futog Sport Center, a venue that opened its doors to welcome the Senior, Junior and Master categories. This championship is the only annual world event aimed at validating the freediving speed modality and scoring points for the world ranking, according to the sports press.
The national team is made up of Samanta Díaz, who ranked sixth in the 8×50, eighth in the 4×50 and eleventh in the 4×50 in the Greece 2025 World Championship. She is joined by Ashley Colmenares and Christopher Chacón.
The delegation's competitive calendar includes participation in the 100 meter speed in the women's and men's categories, the dynamic with monofins (DYN), as well as the 4×50, where Díaz will try to improve the position obtained in the last world championship.
