Venezuelan billionaire Jesús Atencio won the runner-up in the US Open 10 Ball Championship tournament, which was held in Las Vegas, United States.

The Venezuelan athlete yielded in a close final, 13 rounds to 11 against local and world champion Shane Van Boening.

In this way, Atencio becomes the first Venezuelan 10 Ball Billiard athlete to reach the runner-up in the specialty, according to the Ministry of Sport press.

In the semifinals, the Venezuelan defeated the European champion, the Ukrainian Vitaly Patsura, 9 rounds to 8.
