The karate clubs Diana Oligino and Yorgelis Salazar will represent Venezuela in the K1 Premier League, which will be held from June 12 to 14, 2026 in Rabat, Morocco, where Salazar will seek the points to win his third Grand Winner title, in one of the most demanding and prestigious competitions on the World Karate Federation calendar.

The double champion in the Bolivarian Games in Lima-Ayacucho comes to this last stop of the world circuit at a great sporting moment, after rising to second place in the world ranking in her category and continuing to make satisfactory progress in her recovery, after the injury that kept her away from competition for a long period, the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports details in a press release.

Salazar currently has 1,980 points, coming very close to the leader of the ranking, the Algerian Cylia Ouikene, who leads the standings with 2,770 points. For this reason, the event in Rabat represents a key opportunity to close distances and fight for the consecration as absolute champion of the category.
