As part of the Global Day of Action for Palestine, the executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, led a mobilization this Saturday in the parish of January 23 in Caracas, to demand an end to the genocide by the Zionist regime of Israel in the Gaza Strip.

“The time has come when the Bolivarian Government and the Chavista people must be at the forefront of the peoples of the world in the defense of the Palestinian cause, because Palestine is Venezuela and it hurts us as if it were Venezuela, we will be on the street defending Palestine, our weapons are the street and conscience,” said Arreaza from the popular capital's parish.

On October 9, Israel imposed a complete siege on Gaza that prevented the supply of electricity, fuel and food, exacerbating an already pressing humanitarian crisis for more than 2.2 million people trapped in its territory.

Since then, due to Israel's relentless attacks in the Gaza Strip, including on hospitals, refugee camps, markets and many other civilian facilities, more than 27,300 people have died, including more than 7,000 girls and boys, and another 66,000 have been injured. To flee these attacks, at least 85% of the population has been internally displaced.
