The national rowing team adjusts its preparation to compete from June 12 to 14 in the World Cup II in Bulgaria, after achieving the country's first global podium in Seville with the silver medal won by the mixed doubles composed of José Guipe and Kimberlin Meneses.
The team seeks to sustain the progress shown in the last round of the series and resume its presence in high-level international events, so the duo Guipe—Meneses will start again in the mixed doubles with the expectation of adding a new result that will consolidate the progress of Venezuelan rowing, according to a press release from the Ministry of Sports.
Keyla García and André Mora will also participate in this modality, while Jonás Díaz will compete in the single boat and Jakson Vincent in the individual rowing. In turn, César Amaris and José Guipe will be part of the lightweight double scull and the Mora-Jaime Machado duo will seek their best performance in the men's pair.
In the women's category, García and Meneses will also start in the individual lightweight boat, expanding the Venezuelan presence in the event's programming.
The competition will take place at the Plovdiv regatta course, considered the largest rowing complex in the Balkans.
