Venezuelan rowing team advanced to the finals in Bulgaria

Venezuelan rowing completed a productive day at the start of the Rowing World Cup with three tickets to final A, one final and a place to the semis in individual and team events.
The competition is under way at the Plovdiv Regatta Course, in the Balkan nation, with the participation of the greatest exponents of global rowing, according to a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Sport.
The first performance by the Venezuelans was performed by Kimberlin Meneses and Keyla García in the individual lightweight rowing. The Criollas won the ticket to final A after completing their participation in the preliminary round in second and third position with times of 08:03.49 and 08:11.22 respectively.
Also alone, Jonás Díaz managed to write his name among the finalists of the event in men's lightweight rowing. Díaz was third in the round with a time of 07:13.23 behind the Ukrainian Igor Khmara who dominated the specialty with 07:04.10.
The rounds that will define the world champions of lightweight sailing will be decided in the competitions this Saturday at 4:18 in the morning in the men's section and, just 13 minutes later, in the women's jackpot at 4:31am.
