Venezuelan Salvador Pérez hit home run 292 in the big leagues

Venezuelan receiver Salvador Pérez hit the 292nd home run of his major league career, placing him just two home runs behind his compatriot Magglio Ordoñez (294).

The Venezuelan is heading into one of his most successful seasons of his long career in the Big Tent, after dispatching number 19 this season, in the victory of the Kansas City Royals 9-3 against the Toronto Blue Jays, a match in which he went 5-1.

The home run went solo, to give the Royals their sixth run in the game, the fourth in the ninth inning, which extended more distance to their team in the match. Pérez is about to be the fourth Venezuelan with 300 or more in the major leagues.
