Members of the Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán, in Delta Amacuro state, are carrying out a study on microorganisms for the production of an organic insecticide based on chili pepper.
This project seeks to take advantage of the biological properties of certain microorganisms to develop biodegradable materials, thus contributing to the reduction of environmental impact and promoting sustainable solutions and promoting regional development.
Chili pepper is an effective natural insecticide. Its high capsaicin content is essential to repel and prevent diseases in plantations.
This research, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology, is part of a strategy to promote sustainable agricultural practices and reduce the use of chemical pesticides.
