Venezuelan shooting athletes won 3 qualifying spots for the Pan American Games

In the American Junior and Senior Championship, held in Paraguay, 3 Venezuelan shooting athletes won their place in the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games.

Douglas Gómez, Nicole Saavedra and Mirela Herman, will be the three shooters representing Venezuela, all in the Air Gun mode.

For their part, Saavedra and Herman teamed up with Anasoli Rodríguez to win the bronze medal in the 10-meter Air Pistols category, according to the Ministry of Sport press.

The Creole delegation present in that championship was made up of 8 athletes; Douglas Gómez, Alessandro Vassalotti, Santiago Niño, Nicole Saavedra, Armando Villegas, Mírela Herman, Anasolis Rodríguez and Diomaris Toro.

The President of the Venezuelan Shooting Federation (FVT) Gerardo Trota expressed his emotion for the results obtained, as well as pledged to continue working for the national sport.

“We will continue to work together between the Ministry of Sports and the Venezuelan Olympic Committee, to continue developing sports shooting in the country and thus obtain the positive results we want,” he said.
