Venezuelan triathletes will compete this June 14 at the Huatulco World Cup, where Rosa Martínez will lead the national group in the search for points for the international ranking.
The parade will take place in Santa Cruz Bay in Huatulco and will bring together 107 elite athletes who will face the sprint format, while the Venezuelan people adjust their strategy to advance in the classification, according to the Ministry of Sports.
The race involves 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling and 5 kilometers of running, and will be carried out on a circuit with one lap on the water section, four turns on the five-kilometer route for the bicycle stage and two final rounds on the walking section, which requires precision in each transition.
Martínez leads the delegation after her podiums in Viña del Mar 2025 and the American Cup in Iquique 2025, in addition to her recent 35th place in the Samarkand 2026 World Championship Series, which keeps her in the race to climb the table.
In the women's category, Genesis Ruiz will also compete, fifth in the American Cup and South American Championship 2026 and ranked 23rd in the American Cup in Ixtapa in May, while the men's team will have Cristian Torrealba, eighth in the Copa América and the South American Under-23 Championship, who will seek to improve his position on the circuit.
The schedule for Venezuela will begin on June 14 with the women's start at 6:30 a.m., and the men's event will begin at 8:55 a.m., which marks the order of participation of the national group in Mexican territory.
