The Venezuelan triathlon won five new places for the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games.

Yaniuska Jiménez and Demelys Castillo from Larense; Cristian Torrealba from Anzoatigua and Cristopher Cárdenas from Tachira won their ticket by finishing among the twelve best in their respective categories in the last qualifier held on the shores of Playa San José, in Encarnación, Paraguay.

The competition consisted of 750 meters of swimming, a four-lap circuit for 19 kilometers of cycling, and a final course of 5 kilometers of running, according to the Ministry of Sport press.

The overall results of the women's and men's triathletes also served to give Venezuela a place in the mixed relay event of the Asunción Games.

The second edition of the Youth Pan American Games will be held with the participation of 41 countries from the continent from August 9 to 23 in Asunción, Paraguay.
