Venezuelan women's under-17 volleyball delegation arrived in the country triumphant of the Pan American Cup

The Venezuelan women's under-17 volleyball delegation arrived at Simón Bolívar de Maiquetía's national airport, carrying the silver medal obtained in the Pan American Cup in the category held in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

The young athletes were greeted by family, friends and fans who gathered at the air terminal to the sound of samba and cries of support, the Ministry of People's Power for Sports reported in a press release.

The national team secured the continental runner-up after a final against the United States powerhouse.

The match held on Sunday at the Jorge Galeano Gymnasium ended with a score of 3-1 (25-14, 25-16, 20-25, 25-20) in favor of the North American women. This achievement represents Venezuela's second podium in the history of this competition, after winning the bronze medal in the 2024 edition.

The progress from bronze to silver in such a short time evidences the development of the bases and the training work that is being carried out in the country's volleyball.
