Venezuela's International Book Fair comes to Barinas this Wednesday

The 21st
Venezuelan International Book Fair (FILVEN) will arrive this Wednesday, February 11, at the Napoleon Sebastián Arteaga House of
Culture in the city of Barinas.
Under the motto Reading humanizes, the
literary festival will include the exhibition of new publishing and book presentations
, including publications by The Dog and the Frog, Monte Ávila
Editores Latinoamericana and the Ayacucho Library; conferences, the Miguel Vicente Pata Caliente
children's pavilion and cultural activities with different artistic
expressions are part of the program, which can be enjoyed between 9:00 in the morning and 4:00 in the afternoon.
Writer and researcher Yarisma Unda
is the honoree in this regional edition of the 21st FILVEN. She is a sociologist who is
an expert in ethnohistory, a university professor and a
long-time social fighter, author of numerous essays and articles referring to the ethnohistorical processes
of the plain and the foothills of Barinas.
FILVEN Barinas is organized by the
Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC), through the
National Book Center (CENAL) and the State Cabinet of Culture in Barinas, together with regional authorities and institutions.
