The Venezuelan women's basketball team, under-16 category, has defined the squad with which it will seek one of four tickets to next year's World Cup in the FIBA AmeriCup championship, which will be held in Irapuato, Mexico, between June 16 and 22.
As reported by the Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB), the roster will consist of players Valeria Astudillo, Alexandra Cabeza, Greidysmar Camacaro, Diosmarys Campos, Fabiola García, Anyelis Motaban, Estefani Pérez, Roberli Pérez, Albanys Ramírez, Valeria Rodríguez, Camila Sangronis and Arianna Valladares.
In the case of the coaching staff, there will be coach David Durán, who will be accompanied by technical assistants Luz Vargas, Alberto Jiménez and Yosimar Corrales; physical trainer Betzabeth Torrealba; physiotherapist Kemberling Márquez; doctor Alex Gómez; prop Medardo Lameda; and delegate Maigret Cardelli.
Venezuela will compete in group A of the AmeriCup alongside representatives from Puerto Rico, the United States and Argentina. They will debut this Monday, the 16th against the North Americans (5:00 p.m.) and then take on the Albicelestes on Tuesday 17th (2:30 p.m.) and close in front of Puerto Ricans on Wednesday 18th, at the same time, the FVB reported.
