The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Saturday the delivery of 96 homes to families who were in shelters in Caracas, after being victims of natural disasters.

In the company of Mayor Carmen Meléndez, Rodríguez recalled that many families from Caracas have arrived at these temporary places as a result of the climate emergency, which plays a high-impact role in the lives of citizens.

He said that “President (Nicolás) Maduro has not gone to a corner to cry despite criminal sanctions, on the contrary, he has been at the forefront of the battle in defense of the people, with great sacrifices, but always with deep love.”

Rodríguez explained that the Venezuelan Government is working to achieve, by next July, the goal of zero shelters in the capital city with the work being carried out by the Great Venezuela Housing Mission (GMVV) to guarantee decent homes for the people.

“The president has asked for zero shelter and the message is a message of encouragement and hope for those 1,136 families who will have their homes in July,” he said.
